ولد عام 1939/ تعلم القراءة والكتابة عند الشيخ محمود المنيني رحمه الله/ درس الخط على يدي الأستاذ بدوي الديواني ونال منه الإجازة في جميع أنواع الخط العربي عام 1966/ تتلمذ أيضًا على يدي الخطاط الشهير هاشم البغدادي وحصل منه على إجازة في الخط العربي/ وتتلمذ على يدي الخطاط التركي الكبير حامد الأمدي وأجيز منه/ شارك في لجان التحكيم في عدة تظاهرات ومسابقات للخط العربي/ اشترك في الكثير من المعارض الفنية في سورية والبلاد الإسلامية والأجنبية/ تم تكريمه في عدد من المحافل الفنية المحلية والعربية والإسلامية/ كتب مصحفين شريفين بحروفه الحاسوبية المصممة من قبله بخط الكوفي لسيدنا عثمان بن عفان رضي الله عنه والثاني بخط الثلث/ صمم الحروف العربية الطابعة بطريقة الضغط (لتربرس) عام 1974 وحاز على شهادة تقدير عن اختراع هذه الطريقة/ صمم وكتب عشرة أنواع من الخطوط الحاسوبية/ يعد منزله معرضًا دائمًا لأعماله الكثيرة والمنوعة/ توفى رحمه الله في دمشق يوم الأحد الموافق 21 تشرين الأول عام 2010 م.
Born in 1939/ He learned reading and writing by sheikh Mohamed Al Monini /He learned Arabic calligraphy by master Badawi al Diwani and took his licenes in all Arabic known scripts in 1966/He was a student of the famous calligrapher Hashim al Bagdadai and took another license in Arabic calligraphy/ He was one of the students of Turkish calligrapher Hamid al Amidi and obtained the license of Arabic calligraphy from him/He was the judge in many calligraphic competitions and participated in numerous committees regarding calligraphy /He participated in several art exhibitions in Syria and abroad/ He was awarded and honored in a number of local and international art forums /He wrote two copies of the Holy Quran in his own designed computer -based letters, one of them was in Kufic font of (Othman Bin Affan moshaf )and the other was in Thuluth font/He designed the printed Arabic letters using the pressure method (letter-press) in 1974 and obtained a certificate of appreciation for his invention /He designed and wrote ten types of computer fonts /His house turned to a living exhibition for his heavenly works/ He died in Damascus in 2010.
