ولد عام 1948/ دكتوراه في تاريخ الفن الإسلامي من جامعة اسطنبول 1996/ تتلمذ في فن الخط العربي على: د. عبد الغني العاني، هاشم البغدادي، حامد الآمدي (نال منه الإجازة)/ تعلّم فن الزخرفة من: محمد البلداوي، تحسين آي قوت ألب، مشغل البروفيسور سهيل أنور – اسطنبول/ أكمل دورة في الفن التشكيلي بجمعية الإمارات للفنون التشكيلية/ عضو مؤسس في جمعية الخطاطين العراقيين/ عضو مؤسس في جماعة الخط العربي بالإمارات/ عضو مؤسس في جمعية الحفاظ على الكتابة العربية بنيويورك/ عضو مشارك في جمعية الإمارات للفنون التشكيلية – الإمارات/ درّس الخط والزخرفة في معهد الخط العربي والفن الإسلامي، وجمعية الإمارات للفنون التشكيلية، ومركز الخط العربي والزخرفة بالشارقة/ أقام معارض شخصية وجماعية في العديد من الدول/ فاز بجوائز عديدة في المسابقات التي أجريت بتركيا والعراق والإمارات وإيران/ شارك في ندوات ومؤتمرات محلية وعالمية/ نشر مقالات عديدة/ أعماله الخطية والزخرفية منتشرة في دول عديدة/ مدير تحرير مجلة “حروف عربية” 2000 – 2003/ رئيس تحرير مجلة “فنون إسلامية” 2009/ محاضر في كلية الفنون الجميلة بجامعة الشارقة 2006- 2009/ عضو الهيئة التدريسية بجامعة السلطان محمد الفاتح منذ 2014.
Born in1948/ PhD in Islamic Art History from Istanbul University 1996/ Learned the art of Arabic calligraphy from: Dr. Abdul Ghani Al-Ani, Hashem Al-Baghdadi, Hamid al-Amidi, also (certified him)/ Learned the art of ornamentation from: Mohammed Al-Baldawi, Tahsin Aykut Alp, Professor Süheyl ünver – studio in Istanbul/ Completed a course in plastic arts at the Emirates Society for Fine Arts/ Founding member of the Iraqi Calligraphers Association/ Founding member of the Arab Calligraphy Group in the UAE/Founding member of the Association for the Preservation of Arabic Writing in New York – USA/ Associate member of the Emirates Fine Arts Society – UAE/ He taught the art of calligraphy and ornamentation at the Institute of Arabic Calligraphy and Islamic Arts, at the Emirates Fine Art Society and at the Center for Arabic Calligraphy and ornamentation in Sharjah/ He participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions globally/ Won many prizes and awards in competitions from Turkey, Iraq, UAE and Iran/ He participated in many local conferences and international seminars also published many articles and journals/His artworks acquired by many privet collectors, museums, companies, galleries and institutes in many countries around the globe/Editor of the Huroof Arabia (Arabic Letters) magazine – Dubai 2000-2003/Editor-in-chief, Islamic Art Magazine – London 2009-2010/ Lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Sharjah – UAE 2006-2009./Member of faculty and Lecturer at Sultan Mehmed Fatih University – Istanbul since 2014.
